2016 Goals | Blogmas Day 23

Is it just me that is sat here wondering where the hell this year has gone? I say this every year but they just seem to go quicker and quicker each year. I find myself almost taking a sip of coffee on the 1st January and putting the mug down on the 31st December (Ok, maybe a small exaggeration but you can see where I'm coming from).

Favourite 2015 Blogmas Posts | Blogmas Day 22

Seriously, where the hell has this month gone? I swear to god I started Blogmas and opened the first chocolate on my advent calendar yesterday. Now there are only 2 left! I have been so busy this month that the time has just flown by without me even realising! 2015 is almost over and I don't think I'm quite ready yet, I don't want this month to be over! I swear I try to hold onto Christmas for as long as possible! Is anyone else the same as me? I cannot be alone in this!

Top Tips to Stay Fit at Christmas | Blogmas Day 20

Christmas is usually that time of year that people slack with their workouts and tend to eat more, drink more and sleep less. As much as it is good to enjoy yourself, keeping fit at this time of year is crucial. I know I tend to struggle as usually I'm quite busy and get caught up with life and lack a lot of motivation (I know I'm definitely not the only one!) So I thought I would share with you a few top tips in which you can stay fit this Christmas!

Spiced Banana Bread with Chocolate Chunks | Blogmas Day 19

I'm back with yet another recipe *party popper emoji*. Banana bread is probably my favourite thing to bake and I thought that this time I would add some spices to it to give it that festive feel! I can assure you that if you bake this your taste buds will explode and your kitchen will smell like heaven. I genuinely sat in my kitchen for 45 minutes whilst it baked just so I could get multiple whiffs of the yummy goodness!

Mince Pies | Blogmas Day 18

If there's one food I'm guilty of over eating at this time of year, it is definitely mince pies. I have to be honest, I go through my fair share of phases with these. I never used to like them, then I didn't and now I do again. I don't know what it is! Anyone else had a similar experience? Ha.

30 Things I Hate About Christmas | Blogmas Day 17

Following on from yesterdays post '30 things I love about Christmas', I thought I would do a similar post but this time things I don't like. Why? Because let's be real, although Christmas is many people's favourite time of year, there is always going to be things we don't like about it and I can rhyme off a fair few.

Blogs You Should Be Following This Christmas | Blogmas Day 14

I just want to quickly apologise for how late this post is going up today. I haven't been well recently and today has been a really off day so I have been curled up in bed feeling sorry for myself. That being said, I could not miss a post! I don't think I would ever forgive myself for missing a day of Blogmas, so here we are!

Christmas on a Budget | Blogmas Day 13

One thing I sometimes hate about Christmas is the fact that it can be so expensive! As the years have gone by, the people I need to buy for at this time of year has continued to increase (oh the struggles of not being a child anymore!) So I figured that in this post I would give you a couple of ways that you can do Christmas on a Budget.

Gingerbread Spiced Cupcakes | Blogmas Day 12

I think it's safe to say that I love baking, especially at this time of year. One of the main reasons why I love baking so much is because of the fact that I get to scrap the remaining cake mixture out the bowl at the end (I cannot be the only one who does this? Sometimes I find it tastes better than the cakes themselves, ha!)

Christmas Wishlist | Blogmas Day 11

Usually nowadays when anybody asks me what I want for Christmas I am really fussy and never genuinely know what I would like so tend to just go for the 'Oh just money will be fine' option. However, this year I have seen so many things that I have fallen in love with but haven't yet purchased, so why not put them on my wishlist for Christmas? Obviously I am not expecting all of these at all, but it's nice for a girl to dream at this time of year, right?

The Best Christmas Playlist | Blogmas Day 10

'The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.'

If there's one thing I love more than Christmas movies (you can see my Top 5 here), it's Christmas songs. I play them anywhere and everywhere I go, constantly have a song stuck in my head and occasionally (almost always), annoy the hell out of the person I'm with that day by singing it none stop. I know, I have a problem but it's fine. It's December, I'm allowed.

So on Saturday, I had the privilege of attending the beautiful Rhianna's blogger event  #LeedsXmasMeet (which I'm sure you have all heard about because I, along with many other bloggers and Rhianna herself had not stopped going on about it for quite a while!) I had been looking forward to this event ever since I got the email about it a fair few months back and Saturday was finally the day and I was so unbelievably excited.

5 Films to Watch at Christmas | Blogmas Day 8

I have to admit, I am one of those people that loves (well, is basically obsessed with) Christmas films. I could quite happily watch Christmas films all year round and not feel at all ashamed. Blogmas would not be Blogmas without a Top 5 Christmas Films post, so here it is! My Top 5! It was so hard to just pick 5 because there are SO many that I rate very highly, but after some deep thought and consideration I managed to put together my list!

Gift Giving Guide for Him | Blogmas Day 3

Hands up if you think buying for men is hard? *throws both hands in the air* Not just me? Thought so. I always struggle to find gifts for men, probably one, because I'm a woman and two because men are so god damn fussy! Gifts for men are always the last Christmas presents I buy just because I find it so stressful and I don't know whether it's just me but whenever I ask a guy what he wants for Christmas the response is always 'surprise me!' or 'just something nice'. What is the definition of nice? Come on boys, be a little less vague for us women.

A Little Taste of Heaven: Butterfly Cupcake Recipe

Baking is one of my favourite hobbies. I usually watch countless amounts of baking videos on youtube or find myself engrossed in recipe books quite a lot of the time and then cannot resist trying out all the mouthwatering recipes I come across! Whenever I find myself stressed out or needing to unwind and relax, I bake! It's become an addiction (that I 100% don't feel guilty about!) Cupcakes and cookies are probably my speciality (I say that as if I'm a professional, but lets get this straight, I'm not!)
Some of the quickest and easiest cupcakes I love to bake are the traditional and well-loved butterfly cupcakes! They are so incredibly simple to make, but taste AMAZING! So I thought I would share with you lovely people, how to make these tempting little treats!

A Little Skincare Secret

Hello lovelies!

As a lot of you know, I struggle from really dry skin around my nose and t-zone areas, so much so that almost every foundation ends up looking flaky after application, how annoying! Recently the skincare routine I have been going by has been helping this but it's still quite a visible problem! Therefore I have been on the hunt for something a little bit different than your average moisturiser and that's how I found this beauty of a product - COCONUT OIL.

Reasons Why You May Not Be Seeing The Results You Want

Hello!

So, something I know that I used to struggle with and what I see many others struggling with at the moment is not 'seeing results'. This can be so frustrating as there's nothing worse than putting time and effort into something and just not seeing or feeling the changes. Exercising, eating right and getting yourself motivated to lead that healthy lifestyle can be difficult enough for some and so when you stop seeing results it gives you, it can become even more like a chore!

However, after doing a lot of thinking, I have put together a few reasons why this may be happening and how to avoid it. I'm not saying my opinions are 100% correct and will definitely benefit everyone but it's certainly helped me a lot so hopefully you will start to see a noticeable change too!

Healthy Homemade Tomato Soup

Hello!
Recently I have been loving making meals fresh and from scratch and experimenting with different ingredients and that's when I came across this deliciously healthy tomato soup. It is so quick and easy to make and tastes absolutely wonderful. The use of cashews in this recipe gives the soup a lovely creamy consistency. It's low on calories and carbohydrates and is an excellent source of protein and iron.

Sweat in Style; Mitchum Review

Hello beautiful people!
So, one thing I'm sure we all hate is sweating! (what a lovely opening to the blog post Krystal, well done) It's gross but it's true, it happens to all of us and we cant stop it, we just have to learn how to control it so that we don't end of smelling like something just died. (again, what a lovely, lovely, way to open the blog post)
I have been on the hunt for a new deodorant for a while now and recently the lovely people at Mitchum got in contact with me and asked if I wanted to review their products and so of course, I said yes! (who wouldnt?)

5 Ways to Drink More Water

Source

So as the hot weather is now upon us (well, some days anyway!) I thought I would share with you some tips on how you can drink more water throughout the day. I know it's something that a lot of people, including me, struggle with. I tend to just 'forget' to drink sometimes when I am caught up in a busy schedule and that's not good for your body. Your vital organs need water to be able to function efficiently. If the body is lacking in fluid you will become dehydrated. Studies have recently shown that if you are even just half a litre dehydrated, it can increase your cortisol levels (cortisol is a stress hormone). So by staying hydrated, this will help reduce your stress levels. You can be dehydrated without even knowing as when you sweat and or urinate you lose body fluids so you need to make sure you are drinking around 2 litres of water per day. Drinking water also helps keep your skin looking fresh and less dry and increases your energy levels leaving you feeling great throughout the day.

Healthy Breakfast Smoothie

There is simply nothing better than having a fresh fruit smoothie in a morning to fully wake you up and give you all the nutrients and energy needed to start the day! If you struggle to get fruit into your diet then this is a quick and tasty way to do so. I like to have my smoothies in a morning because of how little time it takes to make and they are a perfect to-go breakfast if you don't have much time before you have to head out or get on with your daily routine.

MAC Lipstick Wishlist

MAC is probably one of my favourite high end brands for make up at the moment. All the products they have on offer are of such high quality but unfortunately what comes with high quality is high prices. What I like about MAC though is that the prices aren't too extortionate. However it is still quite a long and slow process to build up a collection, especially if you aren't made of money - like me!

So as you can probably imagine, my wishlist is pretty long for MAC! There are so many amazing products that I long to get my hands on, but for the sake of not boring you with my endless list, I'm going to split my MAC wishlist into sections. Today, I will share with you my lipstick wants and needs! I'm the typical 'nude' loving kind of girl (we are talking about shades here, not anything else!)

My Top 2 Foundations for Dry Skin

For many, many, many years, I have struggled with dry skin! What a nightmare. I'm sure if you are a dry skin sufferer also, you will feel my pain when I say that finding the right make up is EXTREMELY hard.

My dry skin is usually more noticeable on and around my nose, and my T-zone. Even with the right moisturiser and a good and healthy skincare routine, it just won't seem to go away! (although saying that it has settled down a little since I updated my skincare routine a few months ago - there will be a blog post about this coming soon so keep your eyes peeled)

So I have created a wishlist for you to feast your eyes upon and possibly make you fall in love with Lush just as much as I am. Enjoy!
